VEHICLE DESCRIPTION & HISTORY

We supplied this Morgan Plus 8 new in October 2000. Since then it has covered just over 104,358 miles with one owner, for which there is a full service history with supporting documentation.   Finished in Laser Red Metallic with a Yarwood Sahara leather interior it benefits from having a factory fitted Mohair quickfit hood, a forerunner to the Easyfit hood that went into production in 2003.

This Plus 8 has a comprehensive specification and has clearly been well cared for and maintained throughout its life. The car comes with a detailed breakdown of all the mechanical work carried out since new by recognised Morgan technicians. In 2017 (at 95,309) the engine was stripped down and rebuilt, the only apparent wear being in the camshafts, which were replaced. At the same time the gearbox was fully refurbished  with new clutch cylinder, springs and packing. Since then the car has covered a further 9,000 miles during which time along with normal servicing the front callipers, steering rack, battery and kingpins have all been replaced.

The car looks stunning and wears its miles very well. There are some stone chips on front, but overall the bodywork is in very good condition and the paintwork still has a fabulous lustre which belies its age. The interior leather is showing some signs of wear, but has a pleasing a patina that is consistent with its age.
